Monetizing your stream is tough. No sponsors are interested in a single small streamer. It’s simply not worth their time. This is why we created Streamize. A platform that allows sponsors to support streamers no matter the size.

We wanted to give you some tips on how you can get the most out of your sponsorships.

There are several different types of deals and each having its own earning logic.

  1. Impression based ads
This means that the sponsor pays when someone sees their ad. Usually, this is a good type of advertising for big companies like Coca-Cola, whose main goal is to increase brand awareness. There is not that much you can do to increase the performance of this type of ads.
  2. Pay-per-click ads
This is the type of ads where the advertiser pays whenever someone clicks their link. This type of ads need endorsing from the streamer to work. To get the best results, use the links in many different places, like social media posts or your Twitch description.
  3. Pay-per-result ads
In this type of advertising, the sponsors only pay for results. This is a type of advertising where the streamer can affect their income the most. It’s important to work with brands you can genuinely endorse to your viewers.

Choosing the right types of ads

Here are a few things to take into consideration when choosing the ads you want to run.

  1. Genuinity
You should always choose sponsors who you are willing to endorse to your viewers. Brands you have good experiences with or brands you’ve heard good about. Your viewers look up to you and you should not take endorsing products lightly.
  2. You persona
How willing are you to endorse products or services? Would you rather just show a banner ad and not talk about them. Some types of ads require more work from you, but also has the biggest potential. So think about this when choosing the different ad types.
  3. Your audience
No one else has the insight you have about your audience. Always try to think about what they want rather than what you want. By thinking about your audience first, not only do you get results but you will also keep them happy.
